Some links on Aryeva are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a small commission from the retailer. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise.
The longer version
Running a site costs money — hosting, a domain, and the products I buy to test. Affiliate commissions are how Aryeva pays for itself. I would rather tell you that plainly than bury it in a footer.
Here is what that does and does not mean.
What I will always do
Tell you when a post contains affiliate links, before you reach the first one.
Recommend products based on whether they work, not on what they pay. Commission rates vary by category; I don’t check them before writing.
Tell you when something isn’t worth buying, including when a cheaper option beats an expensive one.
Say clearly when I haven’t personally used a product, and explain what my recommendation is based on instead.
What I will never do
Accept payment for a positive review.
Recommend something I wouldn’t buy or suggest to a friend.
Quote a specific price in an article. Prices change constantly, and a stale price helps nobody — check the current price on the retailer’s page.
Hide a commercial relationship.
Brands and gifted products
If a brand sends me a product at no cost, I say so in the post. A gifted product buys a fair assessment and nothing else — it does not buy a good review, nor does it guarantee coverage at all.
